How to choose a beautiful and comfortable bike for the city
4 minute read
If you are one of those women who imagine riding a bicycle in a beautiful way, we have good news: this is now possible in Bulgaria too! If you dream of riding a bike with a basket full of flowers in front, with your skirt or dress charmingly fluttering, and having a wonderful bike reminiscent of charming retro models from the past, in DragZone’s collection we have wonderful options just for you.
Besides the bike being beautiful and stylish, it is necessary to ride safely. Therefore, we have prepared a few tips for you:
1. Choose a comfortable and beautiful bike
The bicycle you choose should be comfortable to ride, to push, to carry up stairs, to get off the curb, and to avoid potholes. A bike is not chosen only by appearance, although Creme cycle bikes are a form of art, as a tribute to love, materials, details, and craftsmanship.
Creme cycle is a European bicycle manufacturer focusing on city bikes and single-speed bicycles. They use classic frames, slanted women's models, leather saddles and grips, and pay special attention to each model. They produce stylish and beautiful bikes for urban use. Their appearance makes us dream of sunny rides through the streets of Paris or Florence.
Other models of beautiful bicycles are the Drag bikes - Drag Oldtimer and Drag Catwalk.
Drag Oldtimer takes you back in time. The bike is designed in harmony of design and functionality, so you can travel through city streets in style.

Drag Catwalk is quiet and graceful like a catwalk; Catwalk is created with one main idea – comfort. The upright posture will help you see the world around you, and with its unique design, you will not go unnoticed on the street.
2. Be beautiful on the bike
Leggings, tank top or t-shirt, and comfortable shoes – this is the most comfortable outfit for cycling. Of course, you can also ride with a dress or skirt. It is not recommended for the dress to be long because there is a risk of it getting caught in the chain. You can also ride with jeans or pants, but it is better if they are not wide to avoid getting caught again in the chain or other parts of the bike.
If you need to wear heavy makeup at work, avoid cycling. Riding a bike heavily made up is more than inappropriate; just a moisturizing cream and lip balm are quite enough.
Don’t forget sunglasses and your handbag. If you have more luggage, you can choose a beautiful bag for your bike.
3. Maintain your bike but don’t “ruin your manicure”
There are basic principles for bike maintenance that are not always related to a service shop.
So, let’s start with cleaning the bike – a tedious task but unavoidable. The ideal option is to wash your bike in your yard; if you don’t live in a house, a sponge and special cleaning agents will do. After cleaning the moving parts, you need to dry them and soon after lubricate them with the appropriate lubricants for each component. Bike maintenance requires effort; you can take care of cleaning the bike yourself. We’re not saying it’s hard to pump your tire, for example, but there’s no need to break your nails, and you can trust specialists. In all DragZone stores you will find mechanics who not only know their job but are also kind and friendly. There you can service your bike – check your tires and brakes, inspect your gears or bike chain.
4. Follow the traffic rules
Dear ladies, before you get on your bikes, it’s good to familiarize yourself with the traffic rules and some basic cycling rules if you don’t know them yet:
- Ride on bike lanes.
- If there are none, ride on the far right side of the roadway.
- When crossing, you must get off and push your bike.
- When turning, you must signal the direction in advance with your arm raised to the side.
- Cyclists are part of road traffic and must follow the same rules as cars, so you must obey traffic lights and road markings for cars.
- Every bike must be equipped with reflectors on the spokes and pedals (usually factory-installed), as well as a front light.
- By law, bicycles are prohibited in pedestrian zones.
- Wear a bicycle helmet.
- If you ride with a friend, the two bikes must ride one behind the other, not side by side.
- If overtaking, do it from the left.
- To avoid busy boulevards, you can use the metro, but you must comply with the “Metropolitan” conditions – you can take your bike on the metro after 9 PM on weekdays and all day on weekends or holidays, after purchasing a ticket for it.
- Respect other road users – cars and pedestrians.
Now turn off your computer, put on comfortable shoes, and enjoy your ride!
