Weldtite Tubeless Sealant – Reliability for Tubeless Tires
1 minute read
As you may have read, since spring I have been testing several tire models from the CST brand, which were provided to me for testing by Drag Zone. Along with them, I received two packs of Weldtite tubeless tire sealant, about which I originally did not intend to write an article, because for most such sealants I have tried, I don’t see much to write about other than whether they work or not, which might even involve a bit of luck. However, it turned out that I can share a bit more about Weldtite’s “stuff” than about some others…
Let’s start with the packaging. The sealant comes in 240 ml bottles. This amount, depending on the tire size, can be enough for two or three tires. In my case, for 29-inch tires, the recommended dose is 120 ml per tire – I admit I didn’t fully follow this, i.e., I tried to put less, but later found it’s better to follow the manufacturer’s instructions. So with one bottle, which costs 22.90 BGN, you can do both tires on your bike and possibly have a little left for topping up. The milliliter scale printed on the bottle helps easily measure the required amount. Weldtite Tubeless Sealant is also available in larger bottles (1 liter, 49.90 BGN), as well as in 5-liter tubs (for workshops).
