L’Étape Bulgaria is part of the global format L’Étape by Tour de France – the most prestigious amateur road race in the world.

The event not only brings together racers and fans from all over Bulgaria – it carries the atmosphere, spirit, and emotion of the legendary Tour de France. A one-day stage inspired by the professional world but accessible to everyone who loves the road.

This is the third edition of the event, which in 2023 and 2024 is organized in Velingrad. A record interest is expected – over 1,100 participants, who will start in two distances (58 km and 112 km), with over 2,140 m of climbing on a route through Batak Dam, the resort of Sveti Konstantin, and the Rhodope Mountains. Participants will have the chance to win a Tour de France jersey, and the winners of the 112-kilometer distance will earn the right to participate in L’Étape du Tour 2026 in France for free!

New this year - “Kids Race” and “Family Ride” – races for young and old.

On August 9, just before the main distances, the organizers offer a 0.5-kilometer distance for the Kids Race for the youngest and a 5-kilometer distance for the Family Ride.

This year again, DragZone will be there to make this experience even more unforgettable!
