Help a child learn to ride a bike. Our goal is to donate 120 bicycles – 100 to children in foster care and 20 to a Temporary Accommodation Home. This year, DragZone will again be partners in the initiative. You can also be part of it by donating your old and unused bike or its parts at our DragZone stores in Sofia.
For the third consecutive year, the bike workshop 1bike is launching the campaign “Bike for Trash, a Bicycle for a Child”. Again in partnership with DragZone stores, the bike mechanics will repair old bicycles and then make the summer of dozens of children happier.
This year, the minimum goal is to bring joy to 100 children who are deprived of parental care and are placed with foster families. A partner in the initiative is the National Association for Foster Care, the only parental organization protecting the rights of children in foster care. Additionally, as part of the initiative, bicycles will be repaired for the family-type accommodation center in the village of Dren, supported by the International Women’s Club and the BNP Paribas Foundation. Unlike previous years, when the campaign was focused on certain cities, this year it will reach children from all over the country. If more bicycles are donated than needed, the mechanics promise to gradually repair all of them and bring joy to even more children. You can help by donating your old bicycle, regardless of its condition.
