The company focuses on two main saddle series, Performa and Comfort. In the Performa series, Selle Royal relies on a specific design and material that can provide maximum comfort and mobility for the sporty type of cycling. This is achieved by reducing the weight of the saddle frame, which here is made of magnesium, a flexible and shock-absorbing base, high-tech foam that allows the saddle to return to its normal shape even under the heaviest load. Here, users can choose between three types of conceptual saddle designs, as follows - Flat, suitable for road cycling, Wave, intended for the MTB series, and Anatomic, the series for trekking cycling. The Performa series provides perfect comfort and control in sporty bike handling.
In the Comfort series, the company develops three main types of saddles, defined according to the cyclist's riding angle. The series are Athletic, designed for cyclists with a forward-leaning posture on the bike with a spine angle of 45°, the Moderate series, suitable for cyclists with a more upright posture on the bike with a spine angle of 60°. The third series, Relaxed, is aimed at an upright spine position during cycling with a 90° angle. The successful achievement of maximum comfort in the Comfort series saddles is mainly due to the patented ROYALGEL™ system from Bayer Material Science laboratory based in Germany. ROYALGEL™ is a polyurethane matrix material that is injected directly under the top layer of the saddle during the manufacturing process, with the unique formula of this gel preventing aging, hardening, and also maintaining its shape unchanged over time.
