Introducing the Shimano XTR hydraulic disc brake, designed for cyclists seeking the perfect balance between lightness and power. This set is specially configured for the so-called "Down Country" riding style, combining the XTR Enduro lever BL-MT9220 with the lightweight two-piston XTR XC caliper BR-M9200.
The BL-MT9220 lever features SERVO WAVE technology, which provides quick and powerful brake activation with excellent modulation. Its improved ergonomics follow the natural finger trajectory for better control. The new mineral oil formula ensures consistent braking performance at all temperatures.
The BR-M9200 caliper is one of Shimano's lightest two-piston calipers, made from a magnesium alloy that effectively dissipates heat. The combination of these two components creates an ideal system for XC racing and aggressive trail riding, where power matters and weight must be minimal.
The J-kit system (Junction Kit) means the hose is not connected directly to the lever. This makes routing the hose through internal frame channels easier. The system comes pre-filled with oil and sealed, minimizing the need for bleeding, but fine bleeding is recommended after installation for perfect performance.
