Through Bluetooth technology, riders or mechanics can wirelessly communicate with the EW-WU101 wireless data transmitter unit (or the SC-MT800) via a computer, tablet, or smartphone. In addition to enabling wireless workshop customization, it allows riders to adjust their shifting preferences on the trail using an app on their smartphones. The prerequisite is the use of the BT-DN110 battery pack or the BM-DN100 Battery Mount. The latter is available in different versions, depending on the frame type and cable routing.
