SRAM is an acronym containing the names of its founders, S cott, R ay, and S am, (where Ray is the middle name of the company's first CEO - Stan Day). The company is known for producing bicycle components, including some internally developed ones, such as Grip Shift, EAGLE (1x12), DoubleTap, specialized 1x11 mountain and road drivetrains, and SRAM Red eTap.
