The cleat side is compatible with the SPD standard. This mechanism is common to the entire range of Look pedals and allows easy and safe putting on/taking off. They are perfect for beginners and cyclists who have not used pedals with cleats, because they have a system for for 30% easier entry and more natural multidirectional exit with a force between 5 to 10 Nm (adjustable), depend to the taste of the cyclist.
